My favorite part was hanging out with you ;)....and Lauren, RJ & Rachel.

Drunken Quake4 was magical!!

I enjoy going to Dragon*con for the crazy madness but it is a little bit too big. Its cool if you are going to hang out in one track the whole time, but if you are a spastic geek and you have many geeky interests then its hard to weave your way around 3 huge hotels to get to different things in a timely manner.

Next year, I will pick one thing on each day that I want to do and try be there. The rest of the time will be people watching, dining out, drinking, & gaming.

I agree with Jaime - the con has gotten too big for its pants. Next year I hope they have a more concrete plan for crowd control so the fire marshal doesn't have to threaten to close down panels (like Whose Line!! It's a good thing we were crafty and stole chairs) or ACTUALLY prohibit admittance into certain hotels for even short periods of time. That's no fun! Also, I didn't enjoy being asked to stand in the smoker's balcony/tent thingie for an hour to see James Marsters (aka Spike). But, it was James Marsters so I willingly shaved 6 weeks off my life span by exposing myself to exorbitant amounts of second-hand smoke. Whatever. Apparently I'm quite stupid. :)

I did have a lot of fun though, despite my complaints. The people-watching was great (as always) and the Whedonverse track was awesome this year (Buffy Horror was fantastic!!). I also really enjoyed the guest panels with Buffy and Firefly cast members. The Whose Line competition was funny also. The parties were...meh but I'm not a huge partier anyway (especially when you have to pay an arm and a leg for drinks) so thats prolly a part of it. We made good use of the Con suite this year, thanks to Sasha, and between that and the free Starbucks were able to eat free the entire weekend which makes my frugal heart happy. :)

Highlights: Definitely the dining out. And the fact that Scott Westerfeld was there. Also enjoyable was fabreezing the elevators. And almost kind of sort of riding the elevator with Dr. Crusher.

Negatives: I overheard someone say there were 60,000 people there. It felt like it. That is for sure.

I am with Jaime on the picking one thing each day thing. That seemed to work well this year for me.

Overall, though, I had a smashing good time.

So totally agree with Nekol about James Marsters, he was really great. I mean he is JAMES MARSTERS! Also the Buffy Horror was tons of fun. I think that the fire marshal needs to back off. The things I did on the YA Lit track were fun to expecially the Yule Ball (so many really great HP costumes this year). And Matt Lewis was so adorable expically showing up to the Yule Ball as he promised.

The only things I didn't like were not really seeing many people (I think I saw you guys one maybe two times during the con and you were always in a hurry to get somewhere) over the weekend although going to Benihanna's with Emily and Kat was fun.

I was only able to attend on Friday this year, but I still had a blast. The con highlight for me was The Buffy Horror
Picture Show! What could be more fun than a huge room full of Buffy fans singing along to "Once More With Feeling" (the Musical episode). I also really enjoyed the Q&A session with James Marsters and Juliet Landau (Spike and Dru on Buffy), and Matthew Lewis was so adorable at his Q&A session.

I do think the con has gotten way too big. It was really crowded on Friday, and I know it must have only got worse on Saturday and Sunday. It does make getting around quite hard.
